This week, we dove into the design process for refitting a superyacht’s gym floor. It’s a project that requires a unique blend of aesthetics, functionality, and durability.

Here’s a breakdown of the key phases:

Needs Assessment:

  • Identifying the owner’s fitness goals and preferences.
  • Evaluating the existing space and its limitations.
  • Check all Gyms Machineries and Equipment or find new models fit.

Material Selection:

  • Exploring materials that are waterproof, slip-resistant, and can withstand heavy weights.
  • Considering Factors like maintenance, cost and environmental impact.

Design and Layout:
Creating a detailed proposal with a floor plan that maximizes the space and offer a better solution for the use of all the gym equipments

Installation and Integration:

  • Resarch of a skilled craftsman’s team to dismantle the old flooring and install the new one
  • Coordinate with construcion’s team for a seamless installation.
  • Ensuring compatibilityy with existing equipment and systems.

Final Touches:

  • Adding finishing touches and custom details (as for example hidden electric sockets)
  • Conducting quality checks to ensure the gym meets the highest standards.

Key Takeaways:

Designing a superyacht gym floor is a complex process that requires careful planning and attention to detail. The choice of materials is crucial for both aesthetics and performance. A well-designed gym can enhance the overall onboard experience for the owner and their guests.
